Scholars Strike For Liberation (SSL): A Revolutionary Virtual Platform For Freedom

This presentation is a meditation on the many conversations, reflections and creative political insights and strategies for liberation that continue to define and shape the virtual teach-in platform known as Scholars Strike for Liberation. This platform was created in 2020 in response to the Black reckoning that followed George Floyd’s killing by police in the U.S. It is a virtual platform invested in making visible institutional and political global upheavels, refusals, abolition, creative and insurgent re-imaginings and forms of freedom.
